The Kids Malam shirt is made from hand dyed indigo produced in the 500+ year old Kofar Mata Dye pits of Kano, Nigeria. The beauty of these items is that each piece is unique and the hand dying process provides beautiful depths of variation in the indigo, from one piece to the next. This classic and timeless shape shirt is a great all year round style. Easy to style smart or casually. Buttons down the front and at the sleeve cuffs. 

The striking nature of this natural indigo dye shines through when paired with a neutral coloured trouser or with another hand dyed indigo trouser, for a bold colour block outfit.

Please note that sizing labels may appear differently inside garments. eg. Size 2y may have a size label that reads 2y or 2-4y. This is the same garment size and you will not receive the wrong item. 

It is recommended to wash dark colours separately and to dry out of bright sunlight if you wish the intensity of the dye to remain. However these natural Indigo dyes also wear in and fade beautifully, unique to the wearer over time and this is another aspect of this hand crafted dye that we love.
